Digital Launch Program · Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce

Ten member businesses online, built and running.

A first group of ten Chamber members. Each one starts with a short session with the owner and ends with a website that we build, publish and keep running — without the owner having to learn or manage anything.

01The offer

Ten members, ten websites.

The Chamber picks ten member businesses and makes the introduction. Everything after that is ours.

Fifteen minutes of the owner's time. We do the rest, and seven business days later their business is online.

Most Chamber members are hard to find online. Some have no website at all; most of the rest have one built years ago that breaks on a phone. They know it, and they have been putting it off — not because it costs too much, but because it is one more thing to learn, choose and manage. Every quote they have ever been given ended with a login and a to-do list.

This proposal removes that part entirely. Each owner gives us one short session — fifteen minutes — and a look at the finished site. We do the rest: the writing, the photos, the build, the domain, the publishing, the hosting and every change afterwards. Seven business days from that session, their business is online and people can find it.

What the Chamber has to do

Two things: choose the ten businesses and make the introduction.

That is the entire ask. There is no cost to the Chamber, no staff time beyond the introduction, and nothing for the Chamber to administer.

02The deliverable

What each of the ten businesses gets.

Every business receives the same complete package. No tiers, no add-ons to choose from, and no decisions for the owner to make.

01

A short session to define it

Fifteen minutes with the owner before we build anything: what they do, who they serve, and what they want the phone to ring for.

02

A real website — three to five pages

Home, what they do, about, and contact. Built around the calls or visits they actually want.

03

We write it and build it

The text, the layout and the photos. Nothing for the owner to fill in, and no template to complete.

04

Built for a phone first

Most of their customers will open it on a phone. It is designed for that screen before any other.

05

English and Spanish

Both versions from day one, at no extra cost. One website, two languages — not a second site to maintain.

06

A contact form and a click-to-call button

Messages go straight to their email and phone. Nothing new to check.

07

Two rounds of changes included

After the first build they tell us what to change, twice. Nothing publishes until they are happy with it.

08

Live in seven business days

Seven business days from the session. They approve it before it publishes.

09

Their own domain, set up for them

If they already have one, we connect it. If they do not, we pick the right name, walk them through buying it and configure it end to end.

10

Secure, with the padlock

A certificate installed and renewed, so no browser warns a customer before the page even opens.

11

Hosting and upkeep included

We host it, keep it online and handle the technical side. No monthly fee for the website.

12

Changes handled for them

New hours, a new phone number, a new photo: they send a message, we make the change. No software to learn.

03Scope

Exactly what is in, and what is not.

We list what is out of scope up front rather than at the end.

If a business needs something from the right-hand column, we quote it separately and the Chamber is never in the middle of it.

Everything the owner has to do

One session and two looks at the site, spread over seven business days.

25 min

Ten businesses in five weeks.

We run two businesses at a time so each one gets full attention. The clock starts the day the Chamber hands us the list.

Week 1

Sessions with businesses 1 and 2. Both sites built.

Week 2

Sites 1 and 2 live. Sessions with 3 and 4, both built.

Week 3

Sites 3 and 4 live. Sessions with 5 and 6, both built.

Week 4

Sites 5 and 6 live. Sessions with 7 and 8, both built.

Week 5

Sites 7 and 8 live. Sessions with 9 and 10, built and published.

What we need from each business

Their fifteen-minute session, their logo if they have one, and any photos they want used. If they have none, we handle it.

On the domain name: if they already own one, we need the login and we do the rest. If they do not own one, we choose the right name, send them the link to buy it, and configure everything from there. The name is paid by them — roughly twenty dollars a year, directly to the registrar — and it stays in their name, so they own it. The setup is ours and is included in the price.

Next step

Ten names, and we start.

Send us the ten businesses — the first two sites are live inside of two weeks.

Send us the ten businesses. We book a fifteen-minute session with each owner and start in pairs, so the first two sites are live inside of two weeks. The Chamber sees exactly what the work looks like long before the tenth one is finished — and if the first two are not worth the Chamber's name, we stop there.
